〜ものの
Despite taking the medicine, the pain is not fully gone — ものの concedes the first clause and contradicts it.

Practice 〜ものの →動詞た形＋ものの means 'although (it is true that) ~' and is followed by a disappointing or contrary result; here 導入した contrasts with まだ使いこなせていない — 'still haven't mastered it' (使いこなす = 'to use something well / master it'; the potential form 使いこなせる negated and progressive: 使いこなせていない). ものなら builds a counterfactual conditional, not a real concession. ものだから gives a reason or excuse, reversing the contrast. ことから states a reason or basis for judgment, again turning 'although' into 'because'.
