〜せいで
「せいで」casts the train delay as the blameworthy cause of missing the meeting.

Practice 〜せいで →〜せいで follows a clause to mark a cause responsible for a negative result — "because of (something bad)." Since the delay produced the unwanted outcome of not making the meeting, the blaming nuance of せいで is required. ものだから sounds like a personal excuse, ところで abandons the causal link by changing the subject, and おかげで is reserved for causes one is thankful for.
