Practice 〜ながら →〜ながら marks two simultaneous actions by the same subject: 'while doing A, do B'. It attaches to the verb's masu-stem, giving 見ながら 'while looking'. The sentence is 地図を見ながら駅まで歩いた — 'I walked to the station while looking at the map'. The subordinate action (見ながら) precedes the main action (駅まで歩いた). The first slot needs 見, the stem ながら requires.
