〜てもいい
The speaker is asking 'May I go home early today?' — a permission question expressed by 〜てもいいですか.
Tested at JLPT N5 — 10 practice questions below.
Practice 〜てもいい →Asking permission uses て-form + も + いい (ですか). After the prefix このいすに, the verb's て-form 座って must come first so も can attach to it, then いい, then the question marker ですか. Any other fragment fails at position one: も has no て-form to join, いい has no ても before it, and ですか would close the sentence before the request is made.
