〜ば〜ほど
V-ば + V-dict + ほど = "the more you ~, the more ~."

Practice 〜ば〜ほど →〜ば〜ほど links a ba-conditional with ほど to express proportional change — 'the more X, the more Y'. The pattern repeats the verb: 読めば読むほど 'the more you read'. Interest grows in step with reading, so only ほど completes the construction; より, だけ and まで each mark comparison, limit or extent rather than proportional increase.
